Our art and music programs explore the basic art-skills of drawing, painting, building puppets and masks, drumming, percussion, songwriting and puppet and mask theater.
Little Artshram classes, workshops and residency programs are offered year-round at the ArtCenter of Traverse City, The Traverse City Community Gardens and at local schools. One of our favorite classroom spaces is outside under the maple tree near the old garage building at the Community Gardens.
During the winter months we gather either at the ArtCenter of Traverse City or the Little Artshram Studio, and also schedule workshop and residency programs in local schools.
Little Artshram works with Rhythmic Adventures and a slew of friends and volunteers to organize and build the annual Grand Traverse Earth Day Parade with months of preparation in our Community Art Studio, beginning in January and up until the annual spring celebration in April. Little Artshram also works in partnership to help host and provide art and music-making activities at Northern Michigan festivals: Blissfest in Cross Village , Earthworks' Farm Family Weekend in Lake City, Dunegrass Festival in Empire, and Traverse City's Harvest Festival.
