It’s Earth Day Parade-building time!

Blackbird Arts, 1485 Barlow, Traverse City, will be the home-base of our community parade building workshop for the next four weeks!
PUPPETEERS! ARTISTS! MUSICIANS! & VOLUNTEERS & INTERNS, join us:
March 23-24th we will begin with a workshop set-up, offering “Parade Section Leader” positions to budding puppeteers, artists, musicians; hosting a special training for Parade volunteers; parade storyboard brainstorming and construction.
PARADE BUILDING Workshop, for children, youth, of all ages! Schedule and General information:
- Children under age nine (9), please bring an adult helper or friend
- We suggest you call in advance, to reserve your space for the workshops.

SPRING BREAK WEEK! Blackbird Arts will also be hosting a special three-days of workshops on
Tuesday, March 26th, Wed, March 27th, and Thursday March 28th
with sessions running on those days from 10 am-12 Noon, and 1 pm-3 pm
Register in advance by calling 231-735-8370, $10 suggested donation per mask-costume.
Saturdays and Sundays, March 30th-April 14th: Three weekends of open workshops, to build your mask and costume and help with some of the BIG puppet and non-motorized float construction.
Saturday sessions are: 10 am-12 Noon, and 1 pm-3 pm Sunday sessions are: 1 pm-4 pm

Great Lakes Children’s Museum will be hosting workshops on:

$10 Suggested donation per mask/costume. Space limited to 10 children per workshop, so please register in advance.
Fridays, April 5th-19th:
SCRAP will be hosting workshops in their craft workshop space:
Fridays April 5th, 12th, and 19th from 5pm to 7pm
$10 Suggested donation per mask/costume. SCRAP is located at 821 Garfield next to Honey Baked Ham and the UPS store.
