As soon as I hear from the first four folks, I’ll send off the AVIT (Apprentice, Volunteer, Intern and Teacher) Program Handbook and Daily Schedule along with homework assignments! I suggest you download or view the handbook first, which will direct you to the other attachments along with a few directions.
The AVIT Program Handbook provides you with basic information to get you to the Guild-Building and Mentor Training with directions, needs lists and assignments. The schedule may get tweaked a bit, as we still have some confirmations coming from out of town presenters.

Guild-Building and Mentor Training from the Ground Up
June 13-17th…..9-4, M-F, with a Friday evening presentation and Open House 6-8 PM
WHAT:
This is an annual, one-week PERMACULTURE training for folks, 16 years
and older, who wish to build a co-creative guild of Apprentices,
Volunteers, Interns and Teachers (AVIT) in any of the Little Artshram
projects or programs.
PURPOSE:
Little Artshram Guild-Building: Mentoring and Training from the Ground
Up is a five-day-long educational event with multiple functions. It
begins with a four-day, permaculture and nature awareness “community
gardening and guild-building” training for up to 15 folks to
consider apprentice, volunteer, intern and teaching positions with
Little Artshram. This is also a kick-off our 2011 Little Summer
Camps, and programs, with participants in the training hosting the
Summer Workshop & Open House on the 17th as your final design project
of the training.
FEE:
We must ask a for a fee to cover the week-long expenses, which include materials/supplies, morning beverages and a good lunch. We are keeping it very low and
reasonable:
$200.00 per person/week or $40 per day
$100.00 per PDC grad/week or $20 per day
We accept 100% BayBucks
CLARIFICATION:
Little Artshram Summer Camp has two intern/apprentice positions available with a negotiable stipend, which is dependent on camp registrations.
Little Artshram CSA has apprentice positions available with a stipend dependent on weekly CSA sales at Market.
We have some substitute positions available in the Summer Camp. Substitute, full and part-time teaching positions at Little Artshram are available to folks who have completed a PDC and the Mentor Training.
